Kettering Town Under-21 Development came out on top in seven-goal thriller at Recreation Way, beating Mildenhall Town 5-2 to move top of the United Counties League Under-21 Division.
Dubi Ogbonna was brought back in action for the first time since Poole on the opening day of the season and was one of three first team players made available by Marcus Law for the U-21's, as Miles Smith started at left-back.
Ben Baker opened the scoring in just the seventh minute to set the tone of the match, before an own-goal meant the visitors doubled their lead.
A goal from Ogbonna's put Jim Freeman’s side 3-0 up inside the opening 20 minutes, but Joseph Allen equalised for the hosts minutes later.
Ogbonna restored The Poppies’ three-goal lead just before the break and added his third of the afternoon to make it 5-2 to The Poppies with half hour still to play.
Luke Eades pulled a goal back for the hosts but Freeman's men comfortably saw out the remainder of the game to make it four unbeaten at the start of the campaign and jump into top spot.
