The Martyrs are still managed by Gavin Williams and are having a very good season so far lying in 5th place in the league table with 19 points from their 10 games to date. Their current away league record sees 2 wins 2 draws and 1 defeat in their 5 games to date. Last season they finished in 3rd place in the table with 89 points from their 46 games and reached the play-offs where they went out to 4th placed Hitchin Town. Last season saw them do the ‘double’ over the Poppies with a 2-0 win at home and a 3-1 success at Latimer Park. Most of last season’s squad was retained and the addition of striker Stuart Fleetwood from Weymouth and ex Swansea and Newport winger Kerry Morgan has added quality to the squad which also includes Ian Traylor and Jarrad Wright. __________________________________________________________________
