U19's thrash Alfreton...
Kettering Town U19s made it back to back wins in their SCL Development East Midlands campaign with a dominant 7-1 win away at Alfreton Town.
Joe Mann again opened the scoring playing in his number 10 role before another central midfield player Ethan Altieri added a quick 2nd. Lively striker Nathan Best then got in the act to make it 3-0 after just 16 minutes in a scintillating opening period for the Poppies. Best then added two more to score an impressive 30 minute hat trick with 46 minutes played. Joe Bowksill and Ethan Lantsbery second half goals were sandwiched between a sloppy consolation effort from the hosts.
Coach Paul White commented on a professional and dominant performance by his side as they thrive away from home in their second away win in a row. The team are playing with the newly introduced Kettering youth academy philosophy to great effect and producing good football to watch. Another pleasing element is the age of the side, with 14 new u17s currently making up the squad as part of the strategy to gain experience against older players quicker than in previous years.
