Acceptable Behaviour Agreements

Kettering Town Football Club, through our Safety Officer, has teamed up with Northants Police to adopt what’s called an Acceptable Behaviour Agreement. This is in use already at a number of clubs and fits our current requirements, given issues we have had this season from a minority of fans in a few matches. A copy of the standard agreement follows, which may be adjusted to meet needs.

Any supporter found to be in contravention of acceptable standards may be invited to sign an agreement, which will be in place for season 2017/18. This is, in essence, an agreement between club and supporter. A copy will be sent to Northants Police as a matter of routine. Furthermore anyone in contravention of FA rules may still be subject to a full ban from all football for as much as 3-5 years.

We have no intention of preventing our fans supporting their club as vocally as they like- but in the right way and with respect. We would like all fans attending our games to create and enjoy a proper and healthy environment and would ask all our fans for their support.

The agreement reads:

This agreement is made between: The Chairman & Safety Officer of Kettering Town Football Club in conjunction with Northamptonshire Police And (Name) (Name) agrees with the following with regards to his/her behaviour:-
