Simon is a UEFA pro-licence holder has a wealth of experience, from being the Assistant Manager at Champions League side Malmö between 2010 and 2014, together with undertaking Assistant Manager positions at primary national football league clubs at SK Brann FC (Norway), and Odense FC (Denmark). In 2018, he was Assistant Manager at Stevenage FC during their League 2 play-off season and recently manager at Banbury United.
Simon spent his University years playing football and cricket where an opportunity arose to join Warwickshire County Cricket where he worked at Edgbaston as a fitness coach for 10 years before the lure of football came his way. Currently, he is the Head of Elite Sport in the Education sector and is looking forward to the challenge with Kettering Town FC. He is no stranger to Kettering as his Puritan side claimed 4 points off the Poppies last season, winning 1-0 at The Spencer Stadium and drawing 2-2 at Latimer Park.
Simon commented that “I was taken aback when I heard of the approach from Kettering last week and given its proud history. When a club like Kettering enquires, it’s very hard to refuse a discussion considering the tradition that has been fostered over 153 years and I am really excited by the opportunity.”
