Manager Richard Lavery has been busy in the transfer market with the addition of attacking midfielders Kyle Storer and Sam McLintock.
Kyle has previously played for Bedworth United, Tamworth, Hinckley United, Atherstone Town, Nuneaton Town, Kidderminster Harriers, Wrexham, Cheltenham Town, Solihull Moors, Nuneaton Borough (player-manager) and AFC Telford United.
Kyle is no stranger to the Poppies having played against Kettering last season for Nuneaton Borough and this season for AFC Telford United as Richard Lavery’s side ran out 3-1 winners at Bucks Head, with Kyle replacing Alex Gudger (now a Poppy) in the 46thminute.
Everyone at the club would like to welcome and wish Kyle a successful time at Latimer Park as we strive for promotion.
Sam has previously played for Rugby Town, Atherstone Town, Coleshill Town, AFC Telford United, Alvechurch, FC Halifax Town, Stalybridge Celtic (loan), Boston United, and Rushall Olympic. Sam is a quality midfielder with the ability to score spectacular goals giving the Poppies a different dynamic going forward. He has experience at all levels and should be the driving force needed as the Poppies near the business part of the season.
Lavs said, “I am delighted to get both Kyle and Sam over the line, Kyle will bring in leadership qualities and support on and off the pitch, and is someone I have previously played with (in my latter years) and have known for some time. Sam is a high calibre player who will bring a different dimension to the club, both players are very experienced and will be huge assets to the club giving us competition for places. Both players will be available for our trip on Saturday to Stourbridge”.
We would like to welcome Kyle and Sam to Latimer Park and hope they both have an enjoyable and successful time with the club.
Also, Luca Miller has also joined St Ives Town on a month’s loan. This is purely for game time as he remains firmly in the managers plans going forward. We wish Luca all the very best at the Ives and look forward his return.
