Kettering Town Football has invested heavily into our brand new floodlights and I am sure you will all agree they look stunning. This is the continued commitment to make Latimer Park a place where we can all be proud of.
We hope you enjoyed the celebrations last Tuesday with such wide media coverage at the ground to celebrate our new floodlights, not to mention our surprise visitor, Kettering’s very own Sean Dyche.
The new LED floodlights at Kettering Town FC’s Latimer Park have been supported by North Northamptonshire Council’s Powering Change Grant, the Premier League Stadium Fund and the Burton Wold Wind Farm Fund. These lights are forecast to use around 60% less energy, saving approximately 2,160 kWh a year. Brighter, more reliable lighting will make evening and winter football safer and more accessible for the Trust’s young people, women’s and adult teams, and the wider community.
Since George became the owner and chairman in May 2024, his tenure has been completely focused on community growth and moving the club forward. Reflecting on the recent progress,
George added, “The new floodlights are a huge milestone for the club and a major part of our vision to build a sustainable, modern environment that still respects our proud 150 year history.”
This vision has already taken shape across the infrastructure of Latimer Park. Recent additions include a dedicated fanzone area, vital drainage improvements around the main pitch, a fantastic new big screen, and upgrades to the Poppies Bar. Alongside a dedicated education programme to support local youth and so much more, all of these improvements are designed to elevate both the matchday and non matchday experience.
