Match Preview Bromsgrove Sporting 25 Jan 2025

Whilst Kettering Town go into Saturdays home game against Bromsgrove Sporting no longer in top spot, only ten points separate the top ten teams in the league and with three games in hand over the current leaders Halesowen, and only two points adrift, there are good grounds for optimism as we enter the second half of the season.

The Rouslers have been in good form recently, notching up five wins (Royston 2-0; Stratford 2-3; Stourbridge 2-0; Halesowen 0-2; Bishop’s Stortford 0-2), two draws (Spalding 1-1; Hitchin 1-1), and three losses (Leiston 0-1; Alvechurch 0-2; Sudbury 1-0). Bromsgrove are in seventeenth place, thirteen points behind the Poppies who are in fourth place and only two points off relegation.

KTFC have a good record against Bromsgrove with three unbeaten games against them since 2023, most notably, the 2-1 away win earlier in the season. Excluding the Hillier Cup fixture earlier in the week, the Poppies resume their league campaign, with only three wins and four losses in the past ten games following a disappointing but hard fought 2-3 defeat at Redditch United last Saturday. A welcome return to the fortress of Latimer Park where we have won seven games out of ten in all competitions bodes well for an entertaining match. Enjoy the game! COYP!
