As part of an ongoing media partnership with Tresham College, where we provide work experience for local students, we had the opportunity to capture the essence of the match day experience at last weeks game vs Cleethorpes Town FC in the FA Cup. From an away perspective, Cleethorpes fans were quite vocal. One fan mentioned that Kettering Town had a “very kind and welcoming atmosphere”, and that “Latimer Park was one of the best away grounds he has visited in recent times.” Another fan mentioned ““The second I walked into Latimer Park as an away fan, I immediately felt that sense of professionalism around the place. Kettering are probably the most popular team in terms of history that we have faced in the FA Cup.” A Kettering fan it summed after the match “The performance was by no means amazing, but last season we would’ve lost it. This season we have looked a much better team, and this game has proved that we are a much better team. Good teams always find a way to win whether it is pretty or not, and that’s exactly what we have done today.” Hope the comments and the photos inspire you to visit Latimer Park for the charity day and match vs Lowestoft Town FC today. With many thanks to Tresham College, Kian Starmer for the reporting, Lucy Chapman for the photos together with Bradley Brown and Oliver Innocent for the camera and graphics work. COYP
