Santa has already been to Latimer Park just before heading off to the North Pole to deliver the rest of his gifts for everyone on Christmas Eve, we have unwrapped our present and the Club are delighted and excited to announce the return of attacking forward Callum Powell.
Callum had a sensational time with the Poppies during his first spell with the club making 35 appearances (over two spells), scoring 19 goals after his debut against Guiseley on 24th November 2020. He made such an impact that his exploits began to awaken interest away from Latimer Park, and indeed, he joined Southend United for an undisclosed fee.
Manager Richard Lavery said, “I am delighted to get Callum over the line, he is a great signing for us, a player I have known and been after for some time. He will give us that extra drive, the fans of course know him from his previous time at the club. He has the desire and commitment I want, as we go forward into the New Year, he is just the type of player I feel we need”.
Callum made 67 appearances for the Shrimpers scoring 12 times before he moved to Braintree Town and finally Tamworth on loan.
Callum goes straight into the squad to face Biggleswade Town on Boxing Day.
