Liam McDonald has continued to bolster the first team squad with a view to strengthen both our attacking capability and defensive resilience.

He signed a two-year professional development contract in May 2022. William made his first-team debut in an EFL Trophy game on 21 November 2023 and in July 2024, signed for Peterborough Sports where he scored his first goal for the club in a 3–1 over Oxford City. July 2025 saw William joining King’s Lynn Town and, in September 2025, he joined Leamington on loan.

Bodi Thistleton a central defender, has joined the Poppies on loan from Burton Albion where is a player in the Professional Development Squad and playing for The Brewers three times most notably in the EFL Trophy Northern Group.

We welcome them to Latimer Park and wish them every success for the forthcoming season with the Poppies.
