The day after the day that will stay in the memory of those 1360 Kettering fans at the game and countless more who watched on national TV we just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for all the ‘team behind the team’ whose hard work that went into organising the pre and post match festivities from the DJ, the social club staff, the officials and the volunteers whose tireless efforts are the beating heart of the club. Thank you to the Cobblers, who whilst they stood 79 places above the Poppies at kick off, provided a professional game day and treated the Poppies fans with respect and good humour. Thank you to the owner George and Fabian who have been the inspiration for the Poppies resurgence this season. Thank you for the team, who under Lav’s leadership have provided us with precious memories for this historic club and lastly, thank you, the fans who were absolutely magnificent singing their hearts out and supporting the Poppies in the way that only the Red army can.
