There comes a time when silence is complicity — and that time has long passed. Kettering Town Football Club stands united — not just as a football club, but as a community, a family, and a symbol of everything the beautiful game should represent: passion, pride, and inclusivity.
We are deeply saddened and appalled by recent racist comments posted on social media by individuals claiming to support our club. Let us be clear: racism or discrimination has no place in football, no place in our society, and no place at Latimer Park.
🛑 Kettering Town FC operates a zero-tolerance policy on racism and all forms of discrimination. Anyone found in breach of this will face serious consequences — and will be firmly shown the door.
Being a ‘supporter’ of this club means more than wearing our colours. It means standing up for our values: respect, unity, and accountability. Anyone who fails to uphold those values is not a supporter — they are a disgrace to our badge and to football itself.
We are proud of our rich 153-year history — one built on hard work, heart, and the diverse fabric of players, fans, volunteers, and staff that make this club what it is today. That legacy will not be tainted by hate.
We call on media administrators and platform owners to ensure that racist and hate comments are addressed at source.
But words alone are not enough. Racist abuse causes deep, lasting harm. It must be confronted with education, action, and unwavering commitment. That’s why we will always investigate reports brought to our attention and work closely with governing bodies and community organisations like Kick It Out to ensure that those responsible are held fully to account.
📩 If you witness or experience racist or discriminatory behaviour at a match, online, or elsewhere, report it immediately to info@ketteringtownfc.com or speak to our Matchday Security Officer, Mark Brace. You can also report anonymously through the Kick It Out app which allows supporters the ability to attach video, photo and audio evidence to complaints to help support investigations into discriminatory abuse and behaviour. Click here to visit the Kick It Out website or download their app for free from the Apple App store or from Google Play.
Please note that reported acts of disciplinary conduct by the Club’s supporters are also highly likely to lead to formal disciplinary action and fines by the FA.
Racism remains a scourge on our game and our society. Tackling it isn’t about empty gestures or meaningless fines. It’s about education. It’s about responsibility. And it’s about standing together.
🖤❤️ At Kettering Town FC, we know football is more than just a game. It’s a force for good. Let’s use that power. Let’s speak out. Let’s do better.
Together — on and off the pitch — we show racism the red card.
