Leon Lobjoit Leaves Poppies

Kettering Town can confirm that Leon Lobjoit has been released from his playing contract and will be rejoining Bedford Town FC with immediate effect.

Leon has had a positive impact during his tenure at Latimer Park. However, the Club recognises and appreciates that Leon has experienced difficult times away from the pitch and his wish to return to his ‘spiritual home’ at the Eyrie enables him to make a return to first team football in the future.

The prolific striker, who had his debut on 9th August 2025 vs. Royston Town, made a total of four appearances for the Poppies, (three in the League (two starts and one as a substitute) together with a game in the Emirates FA Cup) scoring four goals including a hat trick in the Cup vs. Long Eaton United. Leon becomes the first player in Poppies history to score a hat-trick on his final game for the club.

The Club thanks Leon for his positive contribution to the Poppies and wishes him every success in the future.
